Plate heat exchangers with closed-loop control
The WTRE is used as an intermediate circuit for cooling motor spindles, gears, hydraulic power units and cooling lubricants. It is generally used in combination with the existing cooling unit. The coolant is pumped from the pump of the cooling unit through the plate heat exchanger of the WTRE to the machine tool. If the existing plant cooling water is cold enough, the compressor is not needed and so stays switched off permanently.
