As the result of new legal regulations and environmental standards, “dual fuel” engines are becoming increasingly common in both maritime and stationary power station applications. These heavy diesel engines are able to run on gas as well as conventional diesel fuel. The advantage of this is that operators are no longer reliant on just one form of fuel, and exhaust gas emissions can also be changed radically.
