How are the parameters determined?

Our tool takes the geometric dimensions of your mechanical press into account and calculates the nominal size and its pressure supply (power unit).

With our press tool, you can find the right (electro) hydraulic overload protection in just 6 steps:

  1. Fill in all input parameters and make sure that the units are correct. If you have any questions about the calculation process, click here.
  2. The output values are calculated after your input. Now select a nominal size that is larger than the one previously calculated.
  3. Decide whether you need an electro-hydraulic cut-off for your mechanical press (variable trigger force).
  4. In the next step, check whether a flange or cable version is necessary for your application – HYDAC recommends flanging the overload protection to your press.
  5. Do you need a power unit? Check the filling time after an overload is triggered – if this is not sufficient, select an appropriate pre-fill pump.
